How To Build A Wardrobe- Undomestic Diva Style (AKA- How To Have A Nervous Breakdown In 3 Easy Steps)

Evening guys :) Today i'm going to show how to build a plastic canvas wardrobe- Undomestic Diva style.

Step 1:
Grab your bag of fudge - This will save your sanity.
Employ hubby/life partner/significant other/cat as moral support.
(The cat is best as they will not laugh at you when it goes horribly, horribly wrong)

Step 2:  Read (completely useless) instructions, notice that they are written in unintelligible English, proceed to build wardrobe according to the diagram.
Step 3: Realize that neither the diagram nor the written instructions tell you which joints fit to which pole, rely on imagination and (ha!) logic.

After half an hour of various pole fitting/ swearing/ throwing of things, look at your build so far and realize that you have forgotten to add the little cloth shelves as you fit them.
Finish building your wardrobe and wonder why it looks wonky
(Take this moment to have a well deserved cup of tea)
It will now dawn on you that nearly half the joints are in the wrong place.
Swear (under your breath so as not to disturb the cat who has taken advantage of your sit down to fall asleep on you)

Spend another 3 hours trying to fit the joints in the right place.
Swear again as one of the poles falls and clonks you on the head.
Fight with the canvas covering as it tears in 3 places and bursts a zip.

Sit down, admire your beautiful wardrobe and spend another hour putting all of your clothes away to find half of your hangers have gone missing.

Go find a dark corner and sob quietly.

How has your day been?

More Kitten Spam and Opinions Please :)

Hi guys, sadly there hasn't been much on the Undomestic front, i went and helped out at an Easter fair last Sunday, but that was all really.

Now, on to slightly more serious matters, i am thinking of starting up a pet business, making handmade collars, accessories, treats, toys etc :) What do you guys think? I have a wide range of knowledge about most pets due to growing up with so many. My dad was a registered Labrador breeder and trainer and learned most of what i know from him, and the rest is from experience

Born out of my love of all pets and a need for good quality collars, accessories and natural treats and toys for my kitten Marie
Creating bespoke accessories and toys for your best friend at a fantastic price.

We also offer free impartial advice on dog behaviour and training, diet and nutrition, Cat behaviour, diet and nutrition along with many other subjects.

A new range of soft fabric collars made especially for kittens and puppies who haven't had their jabs to leave the house yet, they come in all shape s and sizes, and come with an easy snap button for safety. These snaps will break away if your kitten or puppy gets their collar caught on something. They can come with or without bows and in lots of different fabric options for the fashion followers

Any opinion would be super helpful :)

Make your own taper candles

Hi guys!
Sorry i haven't been around for a few days, have been busy, busy, busy, BUT i do have a new craft I've been trying out... Say hello to taper candles!
Now, these ARE easy to make, but they take quite a lot of time.

Grab a length of cotton string or yarn, this is going to be your wick. tie a couple of bolts or anything small but heavy to the bottom, this acts as a weight until the wick is a bit stiffer, melt your wax (my favourite to use is the one over there ----->)   in a tall pan, now the pan you use cannot be used for food prep after this (for obvious reasons haha) so make sure its one you don't like very much, and pop it on top of another pan of boiling water, this is essentially a double boiler. Take an old spoon and stir to make sure all the wax is melted, pinch the middle of your wick so it is double sided and dip it onto the wax, now, do not pause as you dip or obviously the wax will melt right back off!
Now hand it up on to a pair of nails like mine, or anywhere that you can. and give it a minute or two to harden up, then dip again!
Keep going like this until you get the thickness you would like, snip the wick in the middle of your two candles and voila!
Light and enjoy!

Sorry for the blur, they were swinging a little and my camera has a super slow shutter speed!

When making your candles, once they are a little drier you can smooth them out by just rubbing between your hands.
For these candles i used an old candle for the wax so it kind of looks like earwax, but yours will look nicer! :)
