Hi guys :)
We had a VERY long walk yesterday, 10 miles as we had to walk there and back :( i've discovered aching muscles that i never knew i had! Ouch!
We took a break on a wall and saw these little sweeties! One was much closer but bounced away before i could whip my camera out. How rude!
The poor mother looks very bemused!
Re-reading a favourite book of mine :)
This morning i was gazing out of the window about to put out the washing as it was nice and windy, i went to get the washing and a huge rain cloud appeared and started hoying it down! That'll teach me to procrastinate!
So, robbed of my chance to do some drying i swept and re-arranged the living room, preparing for when our Uncle John comes to stay on Thursday :)
It looks rather a mess but i hadn't finished when i took this
I'm now going to relax and do a bit more crocheting on a shawl i'm making for a friend at knit and natter :)
Where's the coffee?
I imagine crochet and coffee to be a far better pastime than tidying. X
ReplyDeleteme too! much more fun, and not nearly as tiring ;) xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over & following me, I quite agree coffee & crochet rather than tidying I'm living in a cloud of dust at present x
ReplyDeleteHa-ha sounds perfect to me :) I'd much rather live in cloud of dust with a hook in one hand and coffee in the other! :)
DeleteOh how beautiful your outdoors is there ....what lovely scenery. I'd be out there too and let the dusting get behind, though inside looks quite cozy! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is truly stunning but incredibly windy! It is wonderfully cozy, the perfect size for my and my hubby and the occasional guest :) my only wish is for a real log fire, but the housing association won't allow us to have one :( health and safety and money and all that rubbish ;) *sigh* one day! It is the only thing i really want in my home, and a rayburn to heat the water haha :) xx
DeleteAwww.... the sheep are so cute!! Is that the same book that the movie Funny Farm was based on?
ReplyDeleteThank you for leaving your sweet comment on my blog! I see you have a love of trains.... me too :)
Have a great weekend!

Thank you :) They are adorable! You know, i didn't even know that there was a film with same name until you mentioned it haha, but no, the lady who wrote is called Jackie Moffat who comes from my home county of Cumbria, she is a fantastic author, very witty and i thoroughly recommend you read her if you ever get the chance :)
DeleteI adore trains, especially steam, i haven't seen as many this year though due to moving and not being as close to a station as we once were, but, i am determined to go at some point this year :)
Have a fab weekend too

Hey there lovely lady! I just wanted to pop in and say "Thank You" for visiting my blog about a week ago and leaving a comment on my post concerning my Grandpa Don - I truly appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful week and may your weekend be extra special. Hugs!
Hi, Stephanie, thank you for visiting, was very sorry to hear the sad news about your Grandpa, i wasn't sure whether to leave a comment or not, sending lots of loving vibes to you and your family <3
DeleteHuge hugs

What a shame you can't have a fire - I really love our wood heater. And same, I am dying to install a Rayburn/AGA for cooking and hot water heating. One day!
ReplyDeleteThose stone walls are amazing. We have a few in our area (volcano country), and I just love the look of them. So much nicer than barbed wire!
Have a lovely week!
isn't it? :( I must say, i adore this house, but if the opportunity comes up for one with a real fire and a bigger kitchen then i'll be off! haha! Everything else i can live without, but a decent fire, good coffee and a rayburn are a must! And a decent view is a bonus :)
DeleteThey are beautiful, and much easier to sit on than barbed wire! lol
Hope you have a lovely week too :)
